Credits are what the app uses for actions that involve another person: starting a chat with a potential flatmate, sending a buddy request, making in-app voice or video calls, and boosting a listing so more people see it. Browsing listings and profiles is always free. Every new account starts with 20 free credits.
Starting a chat costs 5 credits, a buddy request 3, voice calls 2 per minute and video calls 3 per minute. Boosting a listing costs 8 credits for 3 days, 15 for a week, or 25 for two weeks. If someone declines your chat request, the credits come straight back to you.
In the Flatmate app account registered to the email or phone number you enter, usually within seconds of payment. Open the app and go to your Profile tab, then Credits, to see your balance and the transaction in your history. Before charging you we show the first name on the account, so a typo can't send credits to a stranger.
Yes. Completing your profile earns 10, verifying your identity 20, verifying your phone 5, adding photos 5, and finishing the lifestyle quiz 3. Referring a friend earns you 20 and them an extra 10. Buying is for when you'd rather not wait.
