What are Flatmate credits?

Credits pay for publishing listings and for actions that involve another person: starting a chat with a potential flatmate, sending a buddy request, making in-app voice or video calls, and boosting a listing so more people see it. Browsing listings and profiles is always free. Every new account starts with 10 free credits.

What do things cost in credits?

Publishing a photo listing costs 2 credits, or 5 with a video; adding a video later costs 3. Starting a chat costs 2.5 credits, a buddy request 3, voice calls 2 per minute and video calls 3 per minute. Boosting a listing costs 8 credits for 3 days, 15 for a week, or 25 for two weeks.

Where do purchased credits land?

In the Flatmate app account registered to the email or phone number you enter, usually within seconds of payment. Open the app and go to your Profile tab, then Credits, to see your balance and the transaction in your history. Before charging you we show the first name on the account, so a typo can't send credits to a stranger.

Can I earn credits without paying?

Yes. Completing your profile earns 5, verifying your identity 5, verifying your phone 2, adding photos 2, and finishing the lifestyle quiz 1. Referring a friend earns you 10 and them an extra 10. Buying is for when you'd rather not wait.
