Flatmate Creators: campaign terms

Flatmate Creators is run by Boldswitch LTD, trading as Flatmate. These campaign terms are the full version of the rules on the campaign page, and they apply alongside the Flatmate Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Applying means you accept them, and so does accepting an offer.
Applying
You apply with your Instagram handle and an email address. Any follower count qualifies, and applying is free. Applying is not an offer of work and does not entitle you to payment.
We reply by email to the creators we choose. Flatmate receives more applications than it can reply to and selects a small group. If you do not hear back, you have not been selected for this round. Flatmate does not have to give a reason.
What Flatmate pays
There is no public rate. We send an offer valued on your reach and your creativity, and nothing is posted until you accept it. That offer, once you accept it, is the only thing that sets what you are paid. Nothing on the campaign page is an offer of a particular fee.
Selected creators are paid 50% when you accept the offer, and 50% once your video is approved. The exact amounts and dates are set out in your offer.
Anything you post before you accept an offer is not part of the programme and is not paid, even if it tags @flatmate.ng.
Who can take part
1. Age and country
You are 18 or over and based in Nigeria.
2. A public Instagram account
Your Instagram account is public, and any follower count qualifies. This campaign is Instagram only. Posts on TikTok or any other platform are not part of the programme unless specifically agreed at the time of your offer.
3. Your own account, kept live
You post on your own account and keep every Reel live for at least 30 days. A creator who takes a Reel down inside that period will be blacklisted from working with Flatmate in the future.
4. Tagged and disclosed
Every Reel tags @flatmate.ng and is marked as a paid partnership. Instagram's rules and Nigerian advertising rules both require the disclosure.
5. An accepted offer before you post
You post only after you have accepted an offer from Flatmate by email. Nothing posted before that is part of the programme.
6. Real views only
Bought views, view farms and reposted content are not allowed. Anyone found using them will be blacklisted from working with Flatmate.
What we will not approve
Every selected creator works inside this list. A Reel that crosses any of these lines is not approved, so the second 50% of the payment is not released. Flatmate decides whether a Reel crosses them.
No behaviour guarantees
Do not imply Flatmate can guarantee how someone will behave because their identity is verified.
No false safety or verification promises
Verification is a real feature. Do not oversell what it proves.
No fake listing prices
If a rent figure appears on screen, it must be real or clearly a joke.
No sexual or inappropriate humour
Keep the comedy suitable for a broad Nigerian audience.
No landlord or agent insults
The joke should not depend on attacking landlords or agents.
No competitor mentions
Keep the story on Flatmate without naming other products.
No unlicensed music
Use Instagram's licensed music library or original audio.
No explicit material
Nothing you would not show your landlord's mother.
Anyone found using bought views, view farms or reposted content will be blacklisted from working with Flatmate.
The licence you give
For any Reel you make for this programme you give Flatmate a licence to reuse, edit and boost it as paid Flatmate advertising, with credit to you. You keep the rights to it as your own content. Flatmate does not become its owner, and you remain free to use it however you like.
You confirm the Reel is yours, that you have the right to everything in it, and that any music comes from Instagram's licensed library or is your own audio.
How you are paid
Payment is by bank transfer to a Nigerian bank account in your own name, on the offer you accepted. Flatmate contacts you at the email address you applied with, so that address needs to stay reachable. Flatmate never asks for your bank details on the campaign page.
What Flatmate collects
Applying asks for two things: your Instagram handle and your email address. The handle is used to look at your public Reels, and the email is the only channel Flatmate replies on. Flatmate also records basic technical details of the request, such as your browser type, to stop abuse. If you are selected and paid, payout details are handled at that point. Changes, and reaching us
Flatmate can change or end this programme, and can close applications at any time. Work already agreed with a selected creator is paid under the terms agreed at that point.
