Flatmate Stories: campaign rules & consent

Flatmate Stories is run by Boldswitch LTD, trading as Flatmate. These campaign rules explain the entry process and the agreements you make in the Flatmate app, alongside the Flatmate Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
The campaign
- Status: Open for entries.
- Opens: 4 September 2026 at 01:00:00 WAT.
- Entries close at 1 December 2026 at 00:59:59 WAT, or when 100 entries are verified, whichever comes first.
- 0 verified pair entries. Joining or submitting a link does not reserve a place.
- Prize: two winning pairs; 50% of each winning pair's verified annual rent, up to ₦500,000 per pair.
- Post on: Instagram (@flatmate.ng), TikTok (@flatmate.ng), X (@flatmateng), Facebook (Flatmate.ng).
New members are welcome. You can join Flatmate after seeing this campaign, meet someone through the app, move in together and still enter before entries close. You must be at least 18 under the platform's Terms of Service. An existing friendship presented as a new Flatmate connection, duplicate accounts or an invented flatmate do not qualify.
The ten campaign rules
1. Who can enter
You must be a Flatmate member currently living with someone you genuinely met through an active direct Flatmate connection. New members are welcome: join now, meet through Flatmate, move in together and enter before the campaign closes.
2. One pair, two posts
Each person can belong to only one pair in this campaign. You each post the video on your own account and submit your own link. Your selected flatmate must confirm before your pair can continue.
3. Make it together
Your post should introduce your flatmate, show your shared home, and tell the real story of how you met.
4. Post publicly
The campaign post must be public, use an accepted platform, tag that platform’s official Flatmate handle, and stay live until winners are announced.
5. Submit before entries close
Joining does not reserve a verified-entry place. You must paste the public post link before the deadline or verified-entry cap is reached.
6. Manual review
Flatmate reviews the connection, public post, correct tag, and campaign requirements. A received submission is not eligible until it is verified.
7. Winner draw
Two winners are selected from verified entries by a server-recorded random draw after entries close and every submitted entry is reviewed. Each winning pair receives 50% of its verified annual rent, up to ₦500,000 per pair. Monthly rent is multiplied by 12 before calculating the prize.
8. Rent verification
Only selected winners are asked to verify rent. If a selected entry is ineligible, the replacement comes from the original recorded draw order.
9. Consent and reshares
Both people must agree to participate. The entrant separately confirms that Flatmate may review and reshare the submitted campaign post.
10. Questions or withdrawal
Contact Flatmate support if a decision looks wrong or either person wants to withdraw consent before the draw.
Your entry and rent
One person selects their flatmate and enters a rent amount in naira, choosing per year or per month. The other person confirms the pair and agrees to participate. Each person then creates and publicly posts the video on their own social account, marks their tasks complete, and submits their own post link with content consent.
The two posts belong to one pair entry, not two separate chances to win. Each member submits one link. A received submission can remain under review; Flatmate manually checks both posts and the pair's eligibility. A submission still under review when the verified-entry cap is reached has no reserved place. Check your status in the app.
The prize is 50% of the winning pair's verified annual rent, capped at ₦500,000 per pair. Monthly rent is multiplied by 12 before calculating the prize. For example, ₦50,000 per month is ₦600,000 per year, giving a ₦300,000 prize. Rent of ₦100,000 per month gives a prize capped at ₦500,000. The rent amount and period you provide are checked if your pair is selected. Selection is provisional until eligibility and rent are verified. Flatmate support handles rent verification and payment; the app shows selected, rent verified and paid stages.
The real draw happens only after entries close and every submitted entry has been reviewed, with at least two verified entries available. If a selected pair is ineligible, the replacement is taken from the original recorded draw order. The practice draw on the campaign page is a simulation using sample entries.

Entry acknowledgement
I understand that joining the campaign does not complete my entry. I still need to create, post and submit my video before entries close.
When your flatmate confirms
I agree to enter this campaign with [my flatmate], to appear in our campaign post, and to let Flatmate review and reshare that post as part of Flatmate Stories.
When each person submits their post
My flatmate and I approve everything shown in this post, and Flatmate can review and reshare it as part of Flatmate Stories.
Joining does not reserve one of the 100 verified-entry spots. Both people must agree to participate and approve what appears in the post. Campaign consent permits Flatmate to review and reshare that post as part of Flatmate Stories.
Support, withdrawal and privacy
Keep both posts public, correctly tagged and available until winners are announced. If a decision looks wrong, a link needs attention, or either person wants to withdraw consent before the draw, contact [email protected] or use support in the app.
